Positions View Tab. Functionality is described under the Tab Image.

This Tab is used to view, sort, search Positions stored in your database.
Functionality
  • Specify search criteria at the panel right to the grid and Press "Search" . Only criteria with the marked check boxes are taken into account.
For example if you don't mark an account, but mark the stock symbol, the system will search for all the positions on this
stock across all the available accounts.

  • To sort by column data double click on the column header.

  • To specify range use "-" separated values, e.g. to search for amount range specify 1000-4000. You can separate thousands by comma, e.g.
entry like "1,000-4000.00" is a valid range entry.

  • To search for the exact number use it as a single number of the range, e.g. to search for the stocks that you sold on the same day as bought
mark "Days hold range" and put "0" as a range value.

  • To search for Quantity only put positive numbers in the range. As image above shows both short and long positions of that quantity are displayed.
Use Type criterion to separate between the Long and Short positions of the same quantity range.

  • To search for all the positions on a specific Exchange mark checkbox near "Symbol", but leave the symbol empty and only choose Exchange you are interested in.

  • "Show Transaction Chain" button displays grid with the list of the transactions used to calculate selected position.
  • "Show Position Details" button displays detailed version of the selected position.

  • Mark "Closed" and specify dates range to search for the positions closed between specified dates.

  • You need to rematch positions of the account if you inserted chronologically older transaction or deleted transactions from that account.

  • Use "Export grid to a comma delimited file" to create a file containing grid data. It will prompt you with the file name.
Be careful - If file already exists it will override it without the prompt.
This comma delimited file then can be imported into the Excel.
